Vale Voices & The Vale Chamber Orchestra
Present the Faure Requiem
Vale Voices and The Vale Chamber Orchestra presented the Faure Requiem and a programme of songs of hope and humanity, including “Somewhere over the Rainbow”, “Pam fod eira’n wyn” and the Chinese blessing song.
The first part of the programme, Faure’s Requiem, was brilliantly performed by the Vale Voices Choir, supported by The Vale Chamber Orchestra, organist John Cheer, and soloists Darcie Hamilton and Edward Rhys Harry.
After a brief interval during which refreshments were available and the orchestra departed, the choir performed a programme that included -
Freedom Medley (Trad.)
Panis Angeliucus (Franck)
Over The Rainbow (Arlen and Harburg)
Pam Fod Eira’n Wyn (Iwan)
Chinese Blessing Song (Trad.)
Deputy Lord Lieutenant Colin Jones thanked the organisers and performers for their efforts.
